Rubedo Press is an esoteric publisher based in Seattle, Washington. Published material ranges from classical to contemporary and are actively working to translate ancient occult texts into English.
One goal is to offer translations of important works not previously available in English, and this is being achieved with the aid of an international peer-review panel, highly-revered scholars on a variety of disciplines and the highest quality translators of ancient and modern languages. Many emerging authors have been published for the first time with this unique publishing company. The authors of the site maintain a blog and publish articles occasionally, and feature a small section of word art.
The name Rubedo comes from the final, successful stage in the alchemy process; once a red chroma or “rubedo” appeared, the alchemist had successfully created the Philosopher’s Stone.
