History of Alchemy
History of Alchemy is a website and podcast discussing alchemy and other occult beliefs like astrology, Kabbalah, Hermeticism, Neo-Platonism, magic, divine revelation and other types of mysticism.
In addition to the actual understanding of alchemy, History of Alchemy podcasts explore why the saint Albertus Magnus was considered an alchemist, or real scientists like Isaac Newton. Did alchemists really further science? (yes). Did they really turn lead to gold? (no, according to the podcast). What genuine scientific things did these occultists discover, and what genuine (to our contemporary definition) scientists did they influence?
All these things are discussed in the podcast and throughout the site, with a section dedicated to covering a list of concepts, a section covering a list of alchemists and a section where podcast episodes are archived by date.
